About
This kit includes all of the instructional materials needed to introduce, explain, and assign an argumentative essay based on narrative. Works well alongside any reading assignment that also uses anecdote to illustrate its point; I have used most recently with Ta-Nehisi Coates's "Losing My Innocence." For the independent learner or for advanced homeschool students, this unit also functions well as a "challenge" exercise to refine writing skills that link remembered events to lessons learned. Note that many college entrance and scholarship essays ask for similar types of reflective writing; this unit is ideal for upper high school students preparing for the final round of college admissions or competitive scholarship efforts. Individual tutoring through the program is available either through the Virtual Tutor 1.0 subscription or as a college prep add-on service; tap the "chat" button to request a quote!
